"Star" is track 8 from "The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars," the seminal David Bowie 1972 semi-concept album. Phish's sole performace was on October 31, 2016 as part of their Halloween run in Las Vegas, NV. The song seems to be from the mind of the album's proto-protagonist Ziggy Stardust, who is musing over what his friends are doing while his own ambitions are to be a rock and roll star. One of the more active drum-led tracks, it was a natural fit for Jon Fishman to take the lead vocal.
