The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
The two most significant MOMENTS for me, in terms of individual jams or versions, were the Mansfield Hood and the Randall's Gin. The Gin, not for its individual brilliance, but because I felt it was 2003 all over again and the knowledge that the song was still relevant and viable as having that sort of potential.
This theme is represented throughout this piece of writing, as Wombat, Wedge, Meatstick and even Simple get high marks for GOING THERE, regardless of anything else. I'm not speaking of novelty either, but rather potential......it lets us know that the boys are still dangerous and that, as @johnnyd has already alluded to, IT can happen at any time.
