The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
It's super frustrating to see how close I was on 2, 3, and 5... I knew 2 had to be a Tweezer and ended up blowing through all the Tweezers played in University venues during Spring '93... D'oh! After that failure I focused back on University owned venues in '96 or '98 (much smaller sample size) and checked everything from Kohl through UIC and the more obvious jam vehicles in the mid-November shows. I even looked at that 11/15 show in PhishTracks but never checked the Wading. Should have realized that Wading is in G too! I was looking through Caspians and Coils...
