chipre As the saying goes, "Never Miss a Friday the 13th Show."

Fun stuff. Sat behind the stage simply for a different perspective, and had a blast. I'll let those who are more musically inclined give a blow-by-blow commentary, but overall, the playing was tight and the band just brings energy pretty much every night - which isn't a given, since they're, you know, not kids anymore.

Plus anytime you see fans with Gritty masks in the front section, you know it's gonna get stranger...

First set highlights were Carini and Ghost. I thought Foam was pretty darn good too (minor issues toward the end, but that happens), and Rift sounded flawless to these ears.

Set Two started off with roughly 55 minutes of awesomeness. Interesting to hear Trey go into Talk in the middle of Hood. Kind of ruined the flow for me, but you may have loved that. And it's cool if you did. Real quick (and very well-played) Izabella to send us home happy.

I'll be sitting Saturday out to recover. And watch college football. Back at it Sunday and I can't wait!
