Aphter attending my phirst Phish concert I was not disappointed!! They
were incredible!!! I managed to get about 6 ft. from the stage in the
huge sweaty mass of people!!! Although I don't have a complete set-list,
here were the highlights:

Fee(w/Megaphone)
Sweet Adeline(w/o microphone or accomp.)
Guelah Papyrus
Cavern
Chalk Dust Torture
long jazz-influenced solos!!!!

I can't emphasize enough how great it was to feel the energy of the whole
crowd. Also Trey lookes as though he was having the time of his life up
there.

KUDOS GUYS!!!!

Come back to Cinci soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whatever you do, take care of your shoes.

It should be no suprise by now...Phish are pulling off amazing
gigs
night after night!!! I don't know how they do it!
About the show.. It felt more like an "older" Phish show because
they had the old stage set up (Page's piano facing the crowd and the organ
facing the band). They used a different light set up (due to lack of
space).
And Fishman wore his old dress (the blue one w/ red circles and the huge
piece
of duck tape across the front!). Bogart's is a small place that holds a
lot
of people, and the stage appeared fairly small as well. Bogart's reminded
me of 'Bob's Country Bunker' in the Blues Brothers movie (except there was
no
chicken wire in front of the band :-)) It was basically a long, narrow
room
with a huge bar behind tthe main floor.
It was a very nice crowd (at least where I was), so that made the
show one step nicer. *Highlights* Trey sand through a megaphone during
Fee!! Before they sang Sweet Adaline, Trey asked the crowd if they could
sing it without a microphone, and everyone was silent!! Antelope was very
hot, and very twisted. Lawn Boy sounded wonderful as usual. Except
instead
of Trey playing the solo, Page did!! I practically melted after I heard
that!
I love It's Ice with the funky submarine "ping" sound that Page plays!!
And
of course AXIS:BOLD AS LOVE!! Yippe!!!! All the other songs were
intense
as usual!!!    Take care!!               --->hadley<---

They opened with a MAZE that seared the flesh off my face. This was
absolutely
a KILLER show. I disagree with HCCLARK@CC.OWU.EDU when he said people were
quiet during SWEET ADELINE. Most may have been but there were enough
assholes
spread throughout the crowd that yelled all during the song that the
tapers
may not get any of it. I saw a number of songs done for the first time
(for
me). This isn't real difficult as I have only been to two shows. I'm not
exactly a fan of CRACKLIN' ROSIE and have now seen it 2 for 2. The beach
balls
were interesting but if I saw them a number of times on tour I'd probably
tire
of them quickly. This was however, the best show I have ever heard
(INCLUDING
TAPES!). I would like to get tapes for either Bogart's show. Anyone up for
the
trade? BTW... I also still think that the roads in Cincinnati are the
worst
I've ever seen. SOMEONE TELL THESE GUYS TO PLAY LOUISVILLE!!!!! How about
sometime during DERBY week!
