MikeS is quite standard in the beginning section.  In
fact, it is quite ordinary in general.  Really not
much to say about this version, until the 6 min
point, when there is an off-key "Under Pressure" sort
of jam (Queen).  This "jam" (more like theme within a
typical eerie MikeS) gets really distorted and evil
sounding after a few, but I am not too keen on this
sort of thing.  Those of you out there who really dig
MikeS (I prefer Weekapaug) would love this!  The

MikeS is very long, and jams hard in the tweezeresque
(eerie, dark, funky) sense, but I really don't
appreciate this version as much as I, perhaps,
should.  H2 starts at roughly 8:16, and it is as
sweet as it usually is.

Weekapaug kicks in at 11:15 or so, and Mike's opening
jam is tight and snappy (yes, like usual).  Nothing
special.  This is a solid, great version of
Weekapaug, but, quite bluntly, little happens,
especially in light of the other killer versions that
I have so recently reviewed.  It is still a lot
better than 1991 versions (in general), but, when
compared with the fiery and long versions of today,
it ain't shit.  Trey tools around for awhile on a
groovy theme, but he sustains too often for me to
really go along for the ride.  He certainly serenades
the audience (of this there is no question) with some
sustain here and there, but he doesn't wail away as
much as he could, until the ending, which is
fantastic (but then again, Weekapaug is EXPECTED to
end majestically, thus an average version would have
such an ending).  This version as a whole (total time
19 minutes) contains no space or teases, but still
beats most old versions.  Nonetheless 5.25 rating.
(C)  Not that impressed, in light of What I've
Heard.  I just don't have much to say about this
version.  I apologize to those of you who thought
this version was the most amazing musical experience
of your life...
