Bassist Mike Bub has been a part of the bluegrass community for years. He is best known for his upright bass and baritone vocal talents, and as a member of the Del McCoury Band. Outside of the Oswego appearance with the full Del McCoury Band, Mike’s lone stage performance with Phish came during their 2000 Summer Tour opener in Antioch, Tennessee where he played along on bluegrass favorites such as “Uncle Pen” and “I’m Blue I’m Lonesome.” In addition to Phish, Bub has played with a slew of renowned artists including Steve Earle, Jerry Douglas, Pete Wernick, Ricky Skaggs and Earl Scruggs.
