Marc Daubert, a.k.a. “Daubs,” holds an important place in Phish lore. A schoolboy friend of Trey’s, Marc would write music with Trey and Tom. A few contributions such as “The Curtain” even became Phish songs. As a musical guest, Daubs can be heard adding auxiliary percussion on some early recordings. These days, he writes and performs his own music. In 2000 and 2001, he could often be spotted in the audience (and sometimes coming on-stage as a guest) at the shows of Tom’s band Amfibian.
