“Ler” is best known for being the guitar (and banjo) player for Primus, a role he has fulfilled since 1989, a few years after Les Claypool had formed the band. With Larry on guitar, Primus’s sound was finally on its way to becoming the ever-evolving freak-funk-a-roll musical jambalaya it has been ever since. Larry has also worked on a side project called Beanpole, opening on occasion for both Mirv and Primus itself. The guitarist appeared on-stage with Phish, along with Les, on 12/6/96 for the legendary Las Vegas “Harpua” encore.
