bostonron What a cool experience.

We got to the wrist band line around 9:40 am and there were only 70, give or take, people there. The guy giving them out said they had 200 to give away. Accounting for 25 for staff.

We got back to the store around 4:30. Mikes showed up to random crowd cheers closer to 5:00. We didn't get in until 5:15ish. I got a sweet spot one deep, Scotty side by the "rail".

Mike was chatty. He took a minute or two to talk in between most songs. Performance was great. Acoustic duo. The songs sound great, however there were a few lyrical flues during a couple of tunes. To be expected. It's brand new material. Mike cracked a joke about botched lyrics and a change. 'Peel' was my favorite from the night. Real dark, moody and funky. Can't wait to hear this one live next when (MGB) tour starts.

Meet and greet we equally, if not more, exciting. I haven't had an opportunity to meet any of the guys. I've seen Mike on lot a few times, but other then MPP 2011, have never really gotten close. Both Mike and Scotty were at the table for signings and pics. I'm not into autographs, so I juts shook their hands, thanked them and asked if a photo was OK. Of course they agreed.

Was a really great experience and something I wouldn't hesitate to do again. I couldn't be more excited for MGB tour to start. Thank you Mike and Scotty, along with the people at Newbury Comics, and everyone else involved. Yesterday was something I'll remember for a long time.
